La Mano is a dark surreal thriller set in modern day Tokyo about a half Japanese immigrant from Latin America. Tomas has no memory of his past other than his roots far away from Japan. By day he works as a construction worker and by night he drinks away his monotonous existence. One day at a construction site he finds the severed hand of a mannequin. Intrigued by the hand he takes it home with him and soon long buried memories start to resurface. He sees a mysterious and illusive Mexican man around Tokyo and tries to make contact but each time the man disappears. Soon more tragic memories come back to him and he struggles to maintain sanity. More surreal visions take over his life and seem to drive him to a quest about answers to his past. Ultimately he is forced to confront tragic events from long ago and face the consequences of his actions.

Celia Sánchez Manduley (1920 - 1980) was a Cuban revolutionary, politician, researcher and archivist. She was a very close friend of Fidel Castro. She joined the struggle against the Batista government following the coup of March 10, 1952. She was the founder of the 26th of July Movement in Manzanillo. Together with Frank País, she was one of the first women to assemble a combat squad during the revolution.

After Dr. Olman's escape from prison, the path of two brave masked women come together as they take the reins of justice with their own forces to try to capture him. However, they must face their own fears and desires of revenge.
